"Just where that cloud stopped and the clear red sky began, there was a line of brilliant space. A yellow line glowed across the earth and the lake with a startling radiance."

I read this passage from The Painted Drum by Louise Erdrich a few hours after I did this sketch. I immediately made a connection with the yellow line. Weird.

This passage on it's own now reads philosophical to me. The line of yellow brilliance being the present moment. The sky and the earth are past and future. I'm going to focus today on the yellow line, the startling radiance of each moment I am alive.
